Monday gas leak in Coral Springs forces part of Wiles Road to close
Coral Springs, Florida – On Monday morning gas leak was secured and roadways reopened in the area of University Drive and Wiles Road in Coral Springs.
Monday morning, crews were working to repair a gas leak in the area of University Drive and Wiles Road in Coral Springs.
According to Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department, Wiles Road from University Drive to NW 87 Avenue was closed.
In addition, 4631 University Plaza was closed, the alert said. That area is undergoing road construction as Wiles Road is widened in both directions.
A gas leak caused by construction on Wiles Road closed off traffic in both directions of the road in November. It also resulted in gas service suspension to businesses along University Drive.
The reason for Monday’s gas leak wasn’t immediately clear.
