Panthers celebrate their first win amid a challenging season for Coral Springs football teams

Coral Springs, Florida – Four teams played in the fifth week of the Coral Springs football season, with one team winning for the first time.

Pompano Beach High School was trounced 30-0 on Thursday by Coral Springs Charter. This season, the Panthers have improved to 1-4. Their next game is scheduled for Thursday, September 26, at 4 p.m. against J.P. Taravella.

The Trojans’ record after a Thursday loss to Western High School was 0–5. JPT scored a season-high 36 points against CSC in their most recent game, however, they were defeated 50-36, a margin of two touchdowns.

This season, Coral Springs High School is at 0–5, having fallen to South Plantation High School. On Thursday, September 26 at 7 p.m., they will face Monarch High School in a very difficult test. This year, the Knights have a record of 3-1; their lone defeat came by a score of four points against the state’s 14th-ranked squad. Last year, the Knights again triumphed 48-0.

Coral Glades and Coral Springs High School were back in action this week after Coral Glades won the opening game in the city last week. The Jaguars finished the season 1-3 after losing to Stranahn High School 20-19 in overtime.

On Monday, September 23, at 7 p.m., the Jaguars will then take on Spanish River Community High School. With victories over Park Vista, Seminole Ridge, and Wellington High School and losses to Palm Beach Central and Jupiter High School, the Sharks are 2-2 on the season.
