Coral Springs, Florida – One of J.P. Taravella High School’s best student-athletes is Raquel Arne.

Arne, 17, is a committed student with an impressive 4.7 grade point average. She is also the top female runner on the Trojans cross-country squad. She is placed 31st in her class of more than 600 pupils and resides in Coral Springs.

Arne is not only a remarkable student-athlete but also a Mentoring Tomorrow’s Leader, a member of the Mu Alpha Theta mathematics honor society, and a leader in her community.

“As a Mentoring Tomorrow’s Leaders member, I have provided arithmetic tutoring to first- and second-year students in need. Math is my best academic subject,” the woman remarked.

Arne will compete in the spring as a member of the track and field team, concentrating on the 400-meter run and long jump.

She wants to go to college, and the University of South Florida is a school she is considering. She’s thinking about going into radiology or law.

Dawn Spann, her coach, is pleased with her. She works diligently and makes an effort to run well. She is performing well in school and is highly coachable.

“I am excited to attend college and I want to have a successful career,” Arne remarked.
