Shooting at Father’s Day event in Wildwood, 1 killed and several shot
According to sheriff’s officials, one person is dead and several others were injured after a shooting at an annual Father’s Day event in central Florida.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. Sunday at Royal Park in Wildwood.
According to Sumter County Sheriff’s officials, a suspect is in custody, but no additional details were available early Monday. The names of those wounded in the shooting were not released, and their conditions were not available.
The investigation is ongoing.
