The community is invited to the annual Ray Herman Thanksgiving dinner at St. Andrew Church

Coral Springs, Florida – In remembrance of the late Ray Herman, a devoted parishioner and one of the event’s initial organizers, St. Andrew Catholic Church extends an invitation to the community for its 21st Annual Ray Herman Thanksgiving Dinner.
The meal will be served at the Parish Hall on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
During the event, takeout meals will be available for pickup in addition to the in-person eating experience.
George Puthusseril, a former pastor, suggested the Thanksgiving custom to the St. Andrew Men’s Club more than 20 years ago. His idea was to provide a place for people who didn’t have any arrangements or family get-togethers for the holiday.
The inspiration behind this project was Ray Herman, who died in 2020. Herman, a longtime parishioner and director emeritus, contributed to making the luncheon a cherished yearly occasion that embodies thankfulness and community.
To make sure the event is a success this year, St. Andrew Catholic Church is looking for community support. Dessert donations, meal preparation, and money contributions to cover expenses are all done by volunteers.
Visit the St. Andrew Men’s Club website to learn more about how to support or participate in the event.
