The school board approves the calendar for 2025–2026

Broward County, Florida – At its meeting on December 17, the Broward County School Board authorized the Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) 2025–2026 school calendar.
The recently approved schedule has a number of noteworthy highlights, such as a week-long Thanksgiving vacation, two weeks of winter break, and a week of spring break, according to a BCPS announcement.
Important Dates for the 2025–2026 Academic Year:
First Day of School: Monday, August 11, 2025
Thanksgiving Break: Monday, November 24 – Friday, November 28, 2025
Winter Break: Monday, December 22, 2025 – Friday, January 2, 2026
Spring Break: Monday, March 16 – Friday, March 20, 2026
Last Day of School: Wednesday, June 3, 2026
Holidays, early release dates, teacher planning days, and report card days are also listed on the calendar. Provisions for up to five days of severe weather makeup have also been included.
“We are thrilled to inform our families and community about the 2025–2026 school calendar,” BCPS Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn stated. “In order to develop a timetable that promotes the best possible learning and wellbeing, we valued the insightful input from our instructors, families, students, and community. This calendar will assist us in achieving our objective of offering a top-notch education in a welcoming and inclusive setting.
