Man shot and killed in Overtown
Miami, Florida – Authorities are looking into a fatal shooting that happened in Miami’s Overtown neighborhood and claimed the life of one guy. The perpetrator(s) of the shooting are still at large.
The victim’s bicycle, which looked to be sitting on the sidewalk, was surrounded by a number of dozen yellow evidence markers.
Around midnight, a shooting took place near Northwest 3rd Avenue and 11th Street.
Officers were initially called to the location for a shot spotter gunfire detection warning, according to authorities.
When they arrived, they discovered a man who appeared to be in his 20s and was wounded by a bullet.
The man was rushed by paramedics to a neighboring hospital, where he subsequently passed away.
Initial reports suggested that the deceased may have been ambushed by two shooters, although authorities have not confirmed that.
According to police, this case’s motive is still being investigated for the time being.
