Success for high school bowlers as the midseason heats up

Coral Springs, Florida – The high school bowlers from Coral Springs and Parkland are fierce competitors who genuinely love what they do.
The J.P. Taravella bowling team is excited for the next county and district meets since they are having a great year.
Coach Greg Mason reports that the Trojans are 17-3 and that they just overcame Coral Glades.
He stated, “We just need to keep winning matches. We have been doing well.”
Taravella’s top bowler, Zachary Kimbrell, has bowled a perfect 300-game. Having played 279 games, Marvin Nixon leads the team as well.
Being a successful bowler requires commitment and work, according to Kimbrell.
Since Taravella doesn’t have a ladies’ team, Chyanne Van Winkle, the lone female bowler, plays on the boys’ squad.
With a 20-2 record, the boys’ bowling team at Marjory Stoneman Douglas has done well. Mike Gregory, the coach, is pleased with the Eagles.
“Being a good bowler requires commitment and a willingness to work toward improvement,” he stated.
Gregory reported that this season is going well for Vincent Chiullo and his son Bryce.
The Coral Glades group is now better. Coach Joe Catalano reports that the boys are 12-8 and the ladies are 11-9. The boys’ top bowlers are Anthony Catalano, his son, with a 196, and Lane Brainard, with a 235. Kylee Boyd, with 130, and Crystal Carreras, with 152, are the top bowlers for the girls.
The coach remarked, “The boys are more consistent, and the girls are getting better.”
Audrey Gold and Faith Tucker are the top girls’ bowlers, according to coach Andrew Groothuis, and the Coral Springs Charter girls’ team is 20-0.
“They will continue to win if they put in the work and practice,” Groothuis stated.
The boys are a pretty young team, primarily middle schoolers, according to Groothuis. Boy bowler Shawn Robinson is the best.
The boys’ and girls’ bowling teams at Coral Springs High School are smaller. Logan Howe and Giovanni Lugo are the top boys’ bowlers, according to coach Berta Reed. Aracely Soto, Kiara Hampton, and Liana Guillen are the top female bowlers.
