Major water break causes sinkhole on Pompano Beach Road
Fort, Lauderdale, Florida – A sinkhole caused by a water main break apparently formed on South Andrews Avenue in Pompano Beach.
The small sinkhole was near SW 8th Stree.
One driver who didn’t see it accidentally got stuck in it.
Only one southbound lane of South Andrews Avenue between SW 3rd Street and just north of McNab Road was open for much of the morning and early afternoon.
The other southbound lane and both northbound lanes were closed.
All lanes were reopened just before 3 p.m.
