Waste Pro asks Coral Springs residents for “patience”

Coral Springs, Florida – This week as the company deals with the latest Covid-19 outbreak from the omicron variant, Coral Springs’ waste hauler asked residents for “patience”.
On Tuesday Waste Pro put out a message requesting residents keep their bins out for the following day if trash collectors miss pickup on the scheduled day.
“Once again, we are navigating through unprecedented times with regards to the COVID-19 pandemic, which is affecting our workforce. While we work to complete all of our residential and commercial routes, we ask for your patience for later than usual or missed solid waste and/or recycling collection,” the company said in a statement.
Due to Waste Pro staff shortages or equipment problems, it’s not clear how many Coral Springs neighborhoods have been missed in recent days.
After months of missing entire communities on pickup days, in August, Waste Pro managers promised to improve trash services
According to records show, earlier this summer, more than 80 communities in Coral Springs were missed for trash pickup during a three-week period in July.
Waste Pro can still pick up trash the next day by 12 pm when missing neighborhoods or else face administrative fees, as part of the contract with the city.
According to Waste Pro, on Christmas Day, which is Saturday, the company will not collect trash.
