After 15 years of operation, Bru’s Room in Coral Springs closes
Coral Springs, Florida – The Coral Springs restaurant Bru’s Room Sports Grill, which was well-liked by families and sports enthusiasts for its flame-grilled (as opposed to deep-fried) wings, has closed.
“Thank you Coral Springs for all the great years and terrific memories,” a sign said on the restaurant door.
Founded by former NFL player and Ohio State alum Bob “Bru” Brudzinski, the Coral Springs location was renowned for its sports viewing experience, charitable endeavors that engaged the community, and awards like Best Sports Bar and Best Family Friendly Restaurant in Coral Springs.
On February 12, the chain’s Deerfield Beach outlet shuttered.
The Coral Springs location, which opened in 2009, wasn’t the only one to make an impact; as of this writing, the Boynton Beach, Coconut Creek, Delray Beach, and Pembroke Pines locations are still open, in addition to the Pompano Beach location, which has been operating independently from the corporate chain for the past 12 years.
The undefined notice on the Coral Springs location’s door alluded to something else: “We will return.”
BRU’S ROOM was at 1000 University Drive in Coral Springs.
