After a complaint, an inspection reveals roaches at BJ’s Restaurant
Coral Springs, Florida – Following an anonymous report that found numerous infractions of the health code, BJ’s Restaurant was forced to undertake follow-up food and health inspections.
Following a complaint, the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation conducted an inspection of BJ’s Restaurant, located at 1580 N University Drive in Coral Springs, on January 2. Four violations of the health code were found during the inspection, including the alleged presence of dead roaches on the property.
According to the complaint, roaches were discovered at the handwashing sink station next to the fryer, behind the takeout counter, and close to a cupboard. According to the report, inspectors requested that the eatery promptly sweep, disinfect, and sterilize the impacted areas.
The examination also revealed live roach activity, with roaches located in the kitchen behind the soup well. In addition to completely cleaning and sanitizing the space, the operator exterminated the roach.
To guarantee adherence to health and safety regulations, BJ’s Restaurant must resolve these concerns prior to a follow-up inspection, per the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
