Broward County students, parents, and others asked to choose the start and end dates for the 2023–2024 school year

Coral Springs, Florida – Do you have opinions on the start and end dates for Broward County schools the following year? You can now influence that choice.
This week, Broward County Public Schools distributed a survey asking parents, students, and other participants to select one of three options for the 2023–2024 academic year.
Three possibilities exist for the school district regarding the beginning and ending dates:
Option 1: First day of school is Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023, and the last day is Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
Option 2: First day of school is Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023, and the last day of school is Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
Option 3: First day of school is Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, and the last day of school is Monday, June 10, 2024.
Votes for the start and end dates for the next school year must be submitted by Oct. 27.
