Coral Springs, Coral Glades Football Clash Canceled Due To Covid-19

CORAL SPRINGS, FL – The much-anticipated football clash between two Coral Springs high schools for the city championship was canceled Thursday due to a Covid-19-related issue.
Both Coral Glades and Coral Springs teams had been eliminated from the Class 8A Silver Division Tri-County playoffs, so they scheduled a city championship for bragging rights.
“We found out about 2:15 today,” Coral Glades coach Cam Thomas said. “It’s very frustrating to end the season this way, especially for my seniors. It broke my heart not to see them put on their jersey for one last time. I love those young men and very proud of what they have accomplished.”
