Coral Springs starts a $2.4 million Westview Drive sidewalk replacement and improvement project

Coral Springs, Florida – Coral Springs is attempting to upgrade the ADA ramps and replace the current asphalt sidewalks along Westview Drive with concrete walkways.
All of this is a part of the city’s yearly sidewalk replacement initiative.
Westview between Riverside Drive and Coral Ridge Drive is now being construction, which should be finished by the spring of 2025.
According to municipal spokeswoman Lindsey Steinberg, the project will cost around $2.4 million, of which 96% will come from the city’s federal pandemic stimulus award and the remaining portion will come from the city’s capital improvement program.
According to the city, Westview Drive is being worked on in two stages.
In the first phase, workers are building a broader, eight-foot concrete walkway on the north side next to Riverside Drive. After it is finished, the second phase will move to the south side, where a 5-foot concrete pathway will be installed in place of the current asphalt sidewalk.
In order to enhance drainage and avoid floods, the project also involves regrading swales along the route in addition to the sidewalks.
Other newly finished walkways in Coral Springs include:
-Remsberg Drive (Coral Springs Drive to Wiles Road.)
-NW 99th Ave – (Royal Palm Boulevard to NW 23rd Street)
-NW 107th Drive (Lakeview Drive to NW 21st Place)
-NW 28th Street (South side between University Drive and Forest Hills Boulevard)
-NW 89th Drive (Between Royal Palm Boulevard and Forest Hills Drive)
