“Darth Vader” building in Coral Springs going on the market

Coral Springs, Florida – According to Coral Springs Economic Development Director Kristi Bartlett, she’s been in touch with the broker of University Place at City Center at 3111 North University Drive to help promote the sale.
According to Broward County Property Appraiser’s Office, the 10-story, 205,000-square-foot complex on seven acres is owned by BB UNIVERSITY DRIVE, which purchased the building in 2013 for $12.6 million.
Bartlett didn’t say the asking price for the building.
South Florida developer Butters Construction & Development and San Francisco-based Bristol Group acquired the building and did a “multi-million dollar renovation and capital improvement project,” according to a 2014 news release.
According to the news release, the building had been controlled by a commercial mortgaged-back securities trust, which foreclosed on its previous ownership in 2012.
