Hispanic and black populations increase in Coral Springs while white population decreases
Coral Springs, Florida – According to new 2020 Census figures, the Hispanic and Black populations have increased in Coral Springs while the white population has shrunk, during the past decade.
According to the data shows, the Hispanic population grew from 23 percent of the city’s population in 2010 to 29 percent in 2020 – 38 percent increase.
The Black population went from 17 percent in 2010 to 22 percent in 2020 – a 45 percent increase, the data shows.
And the white population dropped from 52 percent in 2010 to 37 percent in 2020 – a 20 percent decline.
The data shows, the city’s population of people 18 and older went up from 73 percent in 2010 to 76 percent in 2020.
Broward County had a 38 percent increase in the Hispanic population during the past decade, a 15 percent increase in the Black population, and a 15 percent reduction in the white population, according to the city’s figures.
The population of Coral Springs is now: 134,394, up from 121,096 in 2010, the figures show.
