Olympians take a dip in coaching at the Coral Springs Aquatic Complex

Coral Springs, Florida – At the Coral Springs Aquatic Complex, two Olympic athletes – among them, one bronze medallist from the Tokyo 2020 Games – are bringing their elite skills.
Under an existing contract with Swim Phish, Inc., Olympians Bruno Fratus, who won a bronze medal at the Olympics, and Michelle Lenhardt, who competed in the Olympics, have joined the Coral Springs Aquatic Complex coaching staff.
Athletes practicing at the facility will benefit from the vast expertise of Fratus, who won a bronze medal for Brazil in the 50-meter freestyle at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and Lenhardt, a former member of Brazil’s 4×100 meter freestyle relay squad at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Mayor Scott Brook stated, “We could not be more excited to welcome two Olympians who already have strong ties to Coral Springs, coming off the heels of the 2024 Paris Olympics.” “Our swim program will reach new heights with their experience, inspiring the athletes they train.”
Fratus has over ten years of recognized international aquatics experience. The Coral Springs Aquatic Complex, a renowned swimming and training facility, is where he trained mostly for the Tokyo Olympics.
Lenhardt is a former competitive swimmer and coach who is currently employed as a health and nutrition coach. Fratus will start in early September, but she will formally start coaching on Monday.
