Two Florida Universities among best public schools
Florida – The University of Florida in Gainesville ranked fifth among the nation’s public universities. Among all U.S. colleges, it ranked 29th best.
Florida State University in Tallahassee was ranked the 19th best public university in the nation.
Among all colleges in the U.S., both public and private, it ranked 55th.
The publication’s annual Best Colleges rankings, now in their 38th year, assessed an all-time high of 1,500 U.S. bachelor’s degree-granting institutions on 17 measures of academic quality.
Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton ranked 263rd overall and 132nd among U.S. public schools.
The University of Central Florida ranked 137th overall.
The University of South Florida in Tampa took the 97th spot.
The University of Miami ranked 55th.
Florida International University took the 151st spot nationally and ranked 72nd among public universities.
Nova Southeastern University in Davie ranked 219th overall, tied with Keiser University in Fort Lauderdale.
Florida A&M University in Tallahassee ranked 202nd, tied with the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne.
The University of North Florida in Jacksonville ranked 132nd among public schools and 263rd nationally.
