Yacht saved from burning down in Miami-Dade
Miami – Dade, Florida – Early Tuesday morning, Miami-Dade firefighters extinguished a boat fire.
The yacht erupted in flames just before 10:30 a.m. behind the Miami River Apartments at 60 La Gorce Circle, according to fire rescue officials.
A Miami Beach Fire Rescue boat also responded to the scene to help extinguish the flames. Fire crews worked to contain and extinguish the fire by utilizing foam.
Both crews were able to save the yacht from burning to the ground and dewatered the boat to protect it from sinking, according to officials.
At this time, the cause of the fire is unclear.
There were no reported injuries.
