Coral Springs, Florida – On September 23, weeks before she turned 104, Martha Oster received support from the community in the form of cards and visits to her home, after the public read about her long life story.

Surrounded by family and her home health aide, Judith, on Monday, Martha passed away peacefully in hospice care.

According to her granddaughter, Allison Davis, the day she had been dreading came to pass with at least some comic relief.

“Her last words to me were to go find a husband,” said the barely 30-year-old lawyer who works for the Berman Law Group in Boca Raton.

Since her grandma passed away during the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, services were pushed to October 1 and will be held at the South Florida Jewish Cemetery in Lake Worth at 1 p.m., Davis said.

Donations can be made to the Chabad of Coral Springs’s fund for COVID-relief.

Martha worshipped at the Chabad since moving to Coral Springs in the early 80s.

Her family is sitting Shiva at her apartment tonight and tomorrow for those who wish to pay their respects. Martha’s apartment at Ramblewood East is located at 4272 NW 89th Avenue, #107.
